RefWorks was discontinued as of June 30, 2019.
If you have references in RefWorks that you need access to, here is what you can do, depending on which version of RefWorks you were using.
Legacy RefWorks (most users):
Is this the version I was using?
The link would have had contained www.refworks.com or www-refworks-com and the logo would have said "RefWorks" (not "ProQuest RefWorks").
How to get your citations back:
You can request a backup of your data by contacting RefWorks Support.
What to do next:
Please see our Guide to Citation Tools for help with selecting another citation tool and importing your RefWorks citations.
ProQuest RefWorks:
Is this the version I've been using?
The link would have the word "proquest" in it - refworks.proquest.com or refworks-proquest-com - and the logo would say "ProQuest RefWorks".
How to get your citations:
You still have access a simpler version of RefWorks called RefWorks Lite, but it doesn’t include the ability to import references, to get full text via a link resolver, to de-dupe references, etc., so it will probably only be minimally useful.
You can export your references by clicking Share > Export References and selecting RIS Format (so that you can import them into another citation tool).
What to do next:
Please see our Guide to Citation Tools for help with selecting another citation tool and importing your RefWorks citations.
