Project 2 for MBA 630 asks you to research "specific laws related to contracts in Michigan."

The terms that you'll use when conducting research will, of course, depend on what you've decided are the main legal and ethical issues associated with the scenario described in step 1 of the project, but note that step 2 mentions some terms/concepts that might be useful for your research (e.g., breach of contract, agency, etc.)

To find information about Michigan contract law, you can use the library's Nexis Uni database. Enter your term(s) of interest into the main search box and change the All Content Types selection to Legal. From the resulting sub-menu, select US from below the "Legislation" heading and then select Michigan from the resulting list of states and territories. When you run your search, your results will then include Michigan statutes and legislation relevant to the term(s) that you entered.

The Michigan Legislature site can also be used to search the text of Michigan laws.

You can also use databases such as ABI/INFORM Collection, Business Source Ultimate, and News & Newspapers (ProQuest) to search for journal, magazine, and/or newspaper articles that discuss Michigan law(s) relevant to the concepts that you identified. For example, you could search for:

michigan AND (law* OR legislation) AND "breach of contract"
